Title IX Office

Sexual Harassment and Assault Response and Education Coordinator (SHARE)
Contact Michele Welker, SHARE Coordinator, at 412-648-7930 (8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday). After hours, (after 5 p.m. or on weekends) please call the SHARE answering service at 412-648-7856 to speak with a professional counselor. Michele will advise survivors on reporting options, can guide students through the process of receiving a medical exam, and will assist victims in notifying campus or local police if desired. The Safe Rider program provides safe transportation during the evening and early morning when special, non-emergency needs arise for Pitt or Chatham students, faculty, and staff.

Women’s Center and Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh
The Women’s Center and Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh provides supportive services, advocacy, assistance in obtaining a Protection from Abuse Order (PFA), Sexual Violence Protection Order or Protection from Intimidation Order and a 24/7 free confidential hotline. Contact them at 412-687-8005.
